Collection of Personal Information Policy
The RTO acknowledges and respects the privacy of all individuals and clients. The RTO guarantees that it will not sell your personal information to any third party. Personal information that we collect and use may include your name, date of birth, current address, email address, telephone number and other means of personal identification.
Any personal information that is collected, used or disclosed by the RTO, is treated as strictly confidential and will only be used or disclosed in the following
manner:
? for the purposes of providing training and learning services to individuals and businesses;
? to process application forms for training and learning services and to market our services to you;
? for administration purposes, including charging, billing and collecting debts; and
? in compliance with the requirements of, and for reporting to, the Department of Education and Training in the State or Jurisdiction you are registered in.
In all other cases, the RTO will not use or disclose personal information without first obtaining the individual’s consent.
The electronic data the RTO collects (emails and electronic forms) If you send us a message via our email addresses, we will record your email address and personal information for the purposes for which you have provided it.
We may use these details to send you information about the RTO’ training services or information regarding assessment progress and visits to your workplace. You may opt out of receiving this information by contacting our Administration Department: info@guru.edu.au
The paper-based data the RTO collects (Student Enrolment forms, Administrative forms etc.)
The RTO require their students to complete various administrative forms in order for us to keep an up-todate record of their student’s status. These paperbased records will include such items as Enrolment forms, Personal Details and Employer information.
The RTO keep individual training files both paper-based and electronic that holds this data. These records are archived upon completion or termination of training with the RTO and when all final paperwork has been processed.
Security of Information
Our E-learning platform, internal network, databases and paper-based records are protected from unauthorised access using current technologies and secure premises.
You should be aware that there are inherent risks associated with the transmission of information via the Internet and also via post. For those who do not wish to transmit specific information across the Internet or via post, please contact the RTO on: 1300 GET GURU.
Access to Personal Information:
You have the right to access your personal information, subject to certain exceptions provided for in the Privacy Act. If an individual makes a request to access information, access will be granted at a reasonable administration fee.
This fee will be directly related to the accessibility of the information and the costs incurred by the RTO to retrieve the information.

Drug and Alcohol Policy
If you attend any training session or meeting throughout the duration of your course while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, your trainer/assessor may temporarily or permanently suspend all current and/or future training.
